What We Care About

Honesty in Reporting

The gaming media industry is full of clickbait, low-research articles, and sensationalist garbage. At Fan Fugue, we focus on honesty and accuracy first and foremost. Any speculation, opinion, or conjecture is made clear and distinct from factual information. We don’t bullshit our readers.

Thoughtful Writing

The internet is brimming with low-quality articles which focus more on word count than delivering useful information to readers. At Fan Fugue, we believe that thoughtful delivery of gaming news and reviews is a way of showing respect to our readers and delivering the most useful information.

Independence

While we welcome offers to play and review games, the opinions we express in our content are not affected by payments or perks. We believe that enhancing reviews based on business arrangements is inherently dishonest to our readers and contrary to our core values.

Fairness in Reviews

We value the indie dev community, and we believe that superb gaming experiences are not unique to AAA developers. Fan Fugue is cognizant of the budget and personnel limitations typical of indie studios, so we evaluate indie games according to their category and with a thoughtful perspective.
